Services

Acupuncture

Acupuncture can reduce pain, reduce reliance on medication, improve general wellbeing and assist your pet to return to normal function faster. It can help treat a variety of musculoskeletal and medical problems and improve general wellbeing.

Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine and Western herbs help bring the body back into balance to facilitate healing. Commonly treated conditions include arthritis, intervertebral disc disease, liver and kidney disease, gut issues, skin disease, endocrine disorders and cancer.

Medicinal Cannibis (CBD)

CBD has been researched for a wide range of medicinal effects in humans and more recently in pets. Where suitable, it may help with conditions such as arthritis, epilepsy, chronic pain, anxiety, cancer, and gastrointestinal disease. Please note purchasing an untested pet CBD or Hemp product online is illegal and may compromise the health of your pet. We use a CO2 extracted, organic, whole plant product that is prescribed individually for your pet.

Telemedicine

Access integrative vet care via phone, working alongside your regular vet. Your pet must have had a health check within the last 3-6 months, and ongoing regular checks with your regular veterinarian will be required to ensure your pet gets optimal care. An individual care plan will be devised and sent to your regular vet including details of diet recommendations, herbs and supplements, or Medicinal CBD recommendations.

Integrative Cancer Care

A variety of options that can be safely integrated into any cancer treatment plan either alongside or exclusive of chemotherapy, radiation and surgical solutions.

Integrative Pain Management

Integrative management addresses both the symptoms of pain and the underlying deficiencies that lead up to it. Along with standard medications, we can use a number of approaches to alleviate the discomfort your pet may be in. It can also be very helpful for pets that cannot tolerate medication.

ABOUT DR. SOPHIE KERSHAW

Holistic veterinary care is my passion - to treat my patients in a way that I would want my own animals to be treated. I enjoy having the time to spend with my patients and looking at all aspects of their care to help them lead happy, healthy, and comfortable lives.

I adore the golden oldies, and love improving their quality of life so you can enjoy your precious time together.

For me, working in this way is much more than just a job - it’s about integrating holistic care with modern medicine to provide safe and effective therapies that improve the health and comfort of animals in my care.

I provide a house call service on the Mornington Peninsula. I work with your regular vet to provide supportive and adjunctive care with acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutraceuticals and diet.
